We're very excited to announce that Lightning Pay has won the Web3NZ award for Startup of the Year for 2024!
We've been working very hard on this business for the past 18 months, and we're very happy to receive this kind of recognition from one of New Zealand's industry bodies. Winning it on the same day that bitcoin first broke US$100k makes it all the better!

To that end, we're very excited our commitment to Bitcoin focused financial services in New Zealand is gaining such traction, and that so far, we've been able to deliver value to those of you that use our service. When we started Lightning Pay, we hoped that we would be able to build the destination for kiwis who want to save, spend and accept payments in better money, bitcoin.
Looking forward, we can't wait to tell you more about what is coming next. In addition to our Buy/Sell, Bill Pay, and Merchant Services offerings, our focus this year is on delivering even better ways to live on a Bitcoin standard. This means building toward a more robust, efficient and secure pathway for saving in bitcoin, making it easier than ever to build your stack with confidence. In addition, we have some amazing ideas for how we can reach out to new and curious kiwi's with valuable ways to save and spend in bitcoin.
